He serves as Councilman over Ward 4. Bechtel is currently the president of Shebester-Bechtel, Inc. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Oklahoma State University in 1979. Following college, Brad worked from 1979 to 1983 in the oilfield industry in Texas before returning home to Blackwell to work for Shebester-Bechtel, Inc. He is a member of various organizations within the community, a proud sponsor to local youth activities and is a former member of the BIA (Blackwell Industrial Authority). He is also a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell. Brad and his wife Lea Ann have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
