She serves as Councilman over Ward 1. Carroll is a retired school teacher from the Blackwell school system where she taught mathematics at the Blackwell Middle School. She is the Director of the local Start Something Group, a member of the Blackwell Youth Center Board and volunteers at the Good Buy Shoppe. She is also a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell, where she has continued to teach Sunday School for more than 42 years. Nita and her late husband, Phil have 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
