UTILITIES

The Utility Department serves the citizens of Blackwell with water, electric and sewer service. The utility department is responsible for maintaining all utility meter readings and billing customers for the usage of said utilities.

SCHOOLS

On any given day, more than 1400 students are educated in the City of Blackwell. Our public school system is rated among the top award-winning systems in the state. Facilities include a modern campus-style high school for grades nine through twelve, a middle school for grades six through eight, and an elementary school for grades PK through fifth.

PARK & RECREATION

The Parks and Recreation Department oversees the parks, swimming pools and little league/youth sports. Currently offered for the youth of Blackwell are 5 sports: baseball, softball, football, soccer and basketball. There are eight parks that the City maintains. The city pool is also available for recreation to citizens of all ages.

LIBRARY

The Blackwell Public Library provides many services to the citizens of Blackwell including free Wi-Fi, microfilm, fax and copy services. Their book collection provides readers and researchers a plethora of information and entertainment. Also, a great deal of information is available on microfilm. During the Month of June the library also offers free programs everyone can enjoy.
