Blackwell Community Garden

The Blackwell Community Garden is centrally located on 518 South 3rd Street. Starting with 6 raised garden beds, individuals, community organizations and schools will have the ability to grow and maintain their garden throughout the season. The initial start-up for basic supplies for gardeners are provided and include but not limited to: variety of seeds, start up kits, gloves, gardening tools and some approved pesticides. 

Produce grown through the community garden can be sold, consumed and donated at the discretion of the plots gardener. The community garden is a great opportunity for community service hours, fundraising, additions for a food pantry or for the pure enjoyment of what gardening brings. Consulting and educational resources on vegetable gardening is available through our partnership with the TSET Healthy Living Program and the Kay County OSU Extension Master Gardeners.

The Community Garden is scheduled to available for gardeners by March 1, 2020. To participate in the community garden please fill out the Community Garden Application.
