The Blackwell Public Library provides many services to the citizens of Blackwell including internet service, fax and copy services.  Their book collection provides readers and researchers a plethora of information and entertainment.  Also, a great deal of information is available on microfilm.  The library provides a summer reading program for children every June that encourages school children to read during the summer vacation and keeps them interested in books and learning.  

Linda Mayden, Library Director
Linda Mayden has been directing the Blackwell Public Library for 1 year.  She was employed as the Children’s Librarian prior to accepting the Director position.  She has been with the City of Blackwell for a total of 14 years.  Linda is assisted at the library by Children’s Librarian, Stacy Diaz-Cortez and 4 other employees.
